Structural Behaviour of Axially Loaded Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Columns during the Top-Down Construction Method

چکیده

The paper discusses the structural behaviour of concrete-filled steel tube columns (CFT) when applied to top-down construction method as temporary internal supports for ceilings. Their ultimate capacity take into account actual boundary conditions column is essential successful application in construction. presents full-scale situ testing four slender specimens with variable D/t ratios under concentric axial loading. CFT were supported on previously jacked concrete piles. In addition, detailed finite element numerical models ABAQUS and PLAXIS computer programs developed. include nonlinear materials soil. soil–pile–column interaction impact column–pile connection stiffness global stability considered. model was validated by comparison experimental results. conclusion, coefficient effective buckling length studied proposed. Finally, results critical forces compared widely used international design codes Eurocode 4-EC4, American standard-ACI Australian standard-AS.
